SHIPPING ADVISORY

Effective immediately, shipping rates are structured as follows:

Updated shipping rates

Due to the ongoing developments in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the postal systems in many countries are no longer accepting mail from outside origins.

We are already beginning to see parcels come back that were in transit while the temporary service disruption was enacted.

DHL is still able to deliver to many of these locations, so we will be using DHL's Express Worldwide service to ship outside of Canada.  The service is tracked, so international customers will be receiving tracking number (unlike with Canada Post Small Packet International Air, which was untracked).

Unfortunately, DHL Express Worldwide is more expensive to international destinations that Canada Post, so we've had to alter our rates for international customers.  

Also, and even more unfortunate, a number of countries and regions are not accepting mail from international sources at the moment AND are not permitting couriers to operate.  In response, we've had to temporarily remove those regions from the shipping options.

We will try to keep the shipping options up to date as they develop, but it is difficult to ensure complete accuracy, so each region's domestic policy will take precedence over what it posted on this site.

Any open orders to those countries or regions will be held until the disruption is lifted.

LEAD TIME

We are still working through our backlog of orders, but we are making good progress.  Current lead time for new orders to ship is 3 to 4 weeks, barring any shipping restrictions.

Inventory on machined parts is good at the moment.  The only delay on fulfillment is the hand finishing required for each razor.  Orders without razors can be fulfilled quickly because they come straight out of finished inventory.

We try to fulfill orders in a sequential order, but since we make the parts in batches, newer orders may sometimes be fulfilled before older orders.

SHIPPING TO CANADA

All packages will be shipped with Canada Post Expedited Parcel.  Delivery time is usually about 1 week.  This service is tracked.

SHIPPING TO USA

All packages will be shipped with DHL Express Woldwide (non document).  Delivery time is usually about 1 to 2 days, barring delays.  This service is tracked.

SHIPPING TO APO/FPO/DPO

All packages will be shipped with Canada Post Small Packet Tracked Air, which is then handed off to USPS, who then hands it off to the military mail system.  For security reasons, tracking information ceases once USPS hands the package over to the military mail system.

Although the site will allow you to select DHL to these destinations, we will alter shipping to Canada Post Small Packet Tracked Air internally.

SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL (except Russia, see above)

All packages will be shipped with DHL Express Woldwide (non document).  Delivery time is usually about 2 to 3 days, barring delays.  This service is tracked.

OUR RETURNS POLICY

We have a very strict quality control process which tends to prevent non-conformance parts getting to our customers but in the case this happens here are the conditions for a refund:

  1. Item must be in ‘like new’ condition. In the case that manufacturer defects arise after use, we will accept the parts as a return and scrap them so they’re not available for resale. In this instance, the customer would be given a replacement or a refund.
  1. If the customer receives the item with defects straight from Karve Shaving Co. we will replace those items without question, free of charge.
  1. In the case of any return – Items must arrive back to us within 30 days from Canada, 60 days from the USA and 90 Days from the Rest of the World. If the item is received after the listed timeframe, the item will be shipped back to the customer and no refund will be issued.
  1. Customers are responsible for the insured return shipping. If the item is lost in transit, we will not accept responsibility for the lost item.
