Karve Shaving Co. is a Canadian company, but we receive a lot of support from our neighbors south of the border.  Like seriously, a lot.  Support that we are thankful for every day.

Independence Day is a couple of days after Canada Day and it feels right to release a Limited Edition American razor at the same time as our Limited Edition Canadian razor.

The red-white-blue colorway is inspired by the primary colors of the American flag and the bottom of the pommel is engraved with a five-sided star. 

There are three choices for matching blue stands - the Christopher Bradley stand, the Overlander stand, and the new Knopf Pommel stand.

Configuration

Use the options above to select your ideal razor configuration.  All of the existing cap, plate, and handle length options are available.

Availability

These Limited Edition razors will be available until the end of July 2023.  The stands will become a regular product.

Background

All of our aluminum razors are anodized, which gives them their durable protective coating and their color.  Our anodizing line is in-house, which means we also have full control of quality and what goes through the line.

We experiment with anodizing regularly as part of developing a deeper understanding of the process, but the logistics of stocking all of the different components and combinations of the Christopher Bradley made it impossible.

The Limited Edition program allows us to manage the custom colorways as each order comes in, which means that we only need to anodize the specific parts we need for each configuration.

Lead Time

We have the raw machined parts ready and in stock, but your order will be anodized AFTER your order is placed.

Color matching in any anodizing line is a challenge and minute variations exist from batch to batch.  For each of these razors, any components of the same color will be anodized together in the same batch to ensure the color is consistent.

Red plates are a regularly stocked item but they may not match the cap and pommel of this razor perfectly.  We are anodizing new plates specifically for each razor.  If you want additional plates to match the razor perfectly, please order them together. 

Details

The Christopher Bradley razor is a classic double edge safety razor that will provide a smooth shave and years of service.  All aspects of manufacture are meticulously controlled to provide consistent performance and clean aesthetics. 

The pattern is cut into the body of the handle, instead of formed, which ensures that all of the edges of the pattern are smooth and clean, while still providing plenty of friction for wet fingers.

The razor is available with any one of 8 different open comb (OC) plates and 8 different solid bar (SB) plates, each with increasing aggressiveness, to tailor your shave to your face and style. From least aggressive to most aggressive, the OC and SB plates range from AA to G.

The original (OG) top cap leaves the blade tabs exposed while the widebody (WB) top cap completely covers the top side of the blade tabs.

The entire razor is constructed from solid aluminum and is bead blasted for a subtle matte finish.  All parts are then anodized to add color and a long-lasting coating.

The razor is complete and only requires a blade to be ready to use.

The handle is available in 3", 3.25", 3.5", 3.75", and 4" lengths to suit your style.  All handles employ a #10-32 thread.  Please see this page for details on handle lengths.
